Try out the DaVinci module for React Native

PingOne React Native

In this quick-start tutorial you configure the PingSampleApp application to connect to your PingOne environment and authenticate a user through a DaVinci flow.

The sample app uses the React Native DaVinci module to render the collectors returned by the flow and manage the resulting user session.

The app runs natively on both Android and iOS from a single shared JavaScript codebase.

Before you begin

Before you begin this tutorial, configure your PingOne environment with a DaVinci flow, a DaVinci application, and an OAuth 2.0 client.

Step 1. Downloading the sample repo

Clone or download the ping-react-native-sdk repository to get the PingSampleApp project.

Step 2. Preparing the project

Install the workspace and sample app dependencies, build the React Native SDK packages, and prepare the Android and iOS projects.

Step 3. Configuring connection properties

Create a .env file in PingSampleApp and set the PingOne client, discovery endpoint, redirect URI, scopes, and flow policy values.

Step 4. Running and testing the app

Start the Metro bundler, launch the app on Android or iOS, complete the server-defined DaVinci flow, view the session or token information, and sign out.
