Task 2: Configure Your Test User

The Configure Your Test User endpoints perform the following actions:

  • Update (or create) a population.

  • Update (or create) a user.

  • Set the user’s password.

  • Enable MFA for the user.

  • Set an MFA device for the user.

The Client Authentication Methods workflows require a user with a valid password. The Postman collections that accompany these flows reference the user that you created in Getting Started, Task 2.

What you’ll do

You do not need to make any additional configuration updates to the user you created in Getting Started, Task 2 for these flows.

If you haven’t completed Task 2: Create a test environment, do that first.

If you choose to use an alternate test user, be aware that the variables in the Postman collections point to the Task 2 test user’s id and username property values. You must change these values manually either in your Postman environment or in the endpoint’s request body to authenticate the alternate test user.
