Portrait of Donald Cox

Donald Cox

Donald is a Senior UX Researcher at Ping Identity, where he tries to help Ping understand how people do IAM work and how our products help or fail to help with that work. All data is of interest in his work, from surveys to interviews to analytics. At the end of his undergrad in Computer Science, Donald thought his dream job was to be a programming language designer. But alas, that was not to be, though what is now called “developer experience” has never ceased to be an area of interest and activity. In his career in UX research Donald has dealt with many domains, technologies, and channels from mobile insurance shopping to operating the electrical power grid. At Ping, Donald regularly works across product research, research operations, and product instrumentation to uncover how our users of all kinds use platforms like PingOne, PingOne Advanced Identity Cloud, and PingOne DaVinci in practice and how they can be improved.
