The single source of truth for FIDO2 API selection.

Default: auto-detected — true (Google Play Services FIDO2) when GMS is present on the device, false (Android Credential Manager) otherwise. The auto-detection preserves the routing behaviour existing apps see today. Set false to route this call through the Android Credential Manager API (required for conditional mediation / autofill with passkeys), or true to explicitly use Google Play Services (required for non-discoverable, device-bound credentials).
