# Task 1: Configure Your Environment

The environment configuration endpoint performs the following actions:

* Creates a new custom admin role.

* Specifies the scope of the custom admin role (the `applicableTo` property).

* Specifies the permissions to include in the custom admin role.

* Specifies the users, groups, Worker applications, or PingFederate Gateways to which the custom admin role can be assigned.

## What you'll do

You'll create a new custom admin role having the scope, permissions, and assignees specified using:

* POST request to create the new custom admin role.
