# Task 2: Configure Your Test User

The Configure Your Test User endpoints perform the following actions:

* Update (or create) a population.

* Update (or create) a user.

* Set the user's password.

* Enable MFA for the user.

* Set an MFA device for the user.

The simple login workflow requires a user with a valid password. The Postman collection that accompanies this flow references the user that you created in *Getting Started*, Task 2.

## What you'll do

You do not need to make any additional configuration updates to the user you created in *Getting Started*, Task 2 for this flow.

If you haven't completed [Task 2: Create a test environment](../../../../getting-started/create-a-test-environment.html), do that first.

| | If you choose to use an alternate test user, be aware that the variables in the Postman collection point to the Task 2 test user's UUID and `username` property values. You must change these values manually either in your Postman environment or in the endpoint's request body to authenticate the alternate test user. |
