# Task 1: Configure Your Environment

The environment configuration endpoints perform the following actions:

* Update (or create) an application.

* Specify the application's resource grant.

* Specify a sign-on policy and define its actions.

* Define external identity providers.

## What you'll do

You will create a new application and a new sign-on policy that includes a user profiling action.

* POST request to create the new application.

* GET request to get a list of resources and specify the PingOne resource and a user scope.

* POST requests to create a sign-on policy with a user profiling action.
